Meet our Team
Tim Sanford, Founder/President - graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelors degree in Landscape Design and Nursery Management. With more than 25 years experience in the landscape design/build industry Tim founded CARVILLE LANDSCAPE CO. Tim's background includes landscape and construction project management at a regional theme park, as well as managing large residential and commercial landscape design/build projects for several major landscape companies. Tim holds a Class A contractors license.
Erika Batten, Landscape Supervisor – has experience in many aspects of the landscape industry. With more than six years in the industry, she has supervised many major projects with Carville Landscape Company. Erika has a great attention to detail and has a wonderful eye for manicuring and placing plant material. Her personal service and customer relation skills make her a valuable part of the CARVILLE LANDSCAPE CO. team.
Chris McClaning, Commercial Project Manager – is a graduate of Virginia Tech’s Agriculture and Horticulture program. Chris has more than 10 years experience in the landscape design/build industry. His commercial sales and installation experience has provided him the skills to manage the commercial projects at CARVILLE LANDSCAPE CO.
Ian Miller, Landscape Designer – is a Virginia Tech Forestry and Wildlife graduate and a graduate of the Landscape Design School at George Washington University. Ian has experience in sales, customer service and project management with a major landscape company and his education in design and forestry aid him in his ability to listen to a client's needs and turn them into a beautiful and functional design.
Carl Vanover, Landscape Supervisor – has experience in many aspects of the construction industry. He began his career in the excavating and commercial welding field, working on major grading and drainage projects. Carl also spent several years in the residential construction field, managing site crews, working with building plans and providing excellent customer service to homeowners. Carl’s past experiences have prepared him for his supervisor role on commercial and residential projects at CARVILLE LANDSCAPE CO.
